Assessment and Reporting

Assessment is essential to allow teachers to make informed decisions about the curriculum and the next steps in learning for all students.  A cycle of pre and post assessment allows teachers to gauge the impact of the learning cycle and monitor progress.

Assessment Portfolios show the continuum of learning and the students’ achievements and will accompany reports at the end of each Semester. They also outline the pre and post assessments used to indicate progress, include student reflections and allow for parent feedback.

The formal Reporting periods are at the end of Semester One and end of Semester Two. Regular reporting opportunities for the discussion of student learning are available throughout the year where parents are encouraged to book appointment times with teachers.
